“Success Begins on Our Knees” – Nehemiah 1:11

“Success Begins on Our Knees” – Nehemiah 1:11

Nehemiah’s prayer is short, but powerful. He doesn’t begin by asking for success or favor—he begins by recognizing who God is and aligning himself with God’s will. By the time he asks for mercy before the king, his heart is already surrendered.

How often do we try to “win the day” in our own strength? Nehemiah reminds us that true success doesn’t start with speeches, strategy, or influence—it begins with prayer. God alone can turn hearts, open doors, and grant favor. Even kings are just “this man” before Him.

Takeaway: Before you step into a difficult conversation, big meeting, or life decision, pause and pray as Nehemiah did: “Lord, prosper me this day and grant me favor.” Success begins on our knees.
