The Confession That Saves
Romans 10:9 – “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Salvation is not a complicated ritual — it’s the simple, powerful act of faith in Christ. It’s not earned through works, religious performance, or moral perfection. It begins with the heart — believing the truth of the resurrection — and flows outward in confession, declaring Jesus as Lord. The sword of truth slices through the lie that we must “clean ourselves up” before coming to God. The cross shows us that Christ already paid the full price, and our role is to receive and proclaim it.
Confession is more than words — it is a declaration of allegiance. To confess Jesus as Lord is to surrender our lives to His authority and trust His finished work on the cross. This is the unshakable foundation of our faith.
Reflection: Have I truly made Jesus Lord of every part of my life, or have I only acknowledged Him in words?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I confess You as my Savior and believe You were raised from the dead. Help me live boldly in this truth, sharing it with others so they may be saved as well.
