Fossil fuels have been an integral part of the global economy for centuries. These energy sources have powered industrial processes, transportation systems, and homes, providing heat, electricity, and energy for billions of people worldwide. Despite the environmental and health concerns associated with fossil fuel usage, there are valid arguments that defend their continued use.

Firstly, fossil fuels are relatively cheap and widely available compared to renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. This makes them accessible to a significant portion of the population, particularly those in developing countries who rely on these energy sources for basic necessities such as cooking and heating. Furthermore, the development of cleaner and more efficient technologies for using fossil fuels, such as carbon capture and storage, can help to mitigate the concerns climate change promoters believe about greenhouse gas emissions.

In addition, fossil fuels have played a significant role in driving economic growth and development worldwide. The economies of developed countries heavily rely on fossil fuels, and these energy sources have allowed for manufacturing and the building of infrastructure, ultimately increasing living standards across the board. The use of fossil fuels has also allowed for the development and expansion of various industries, such as the transportation and construction sectors.

Moreover, the technology for extracting and using fossil fuels has been developed over many years. This makes the infrastructure and expertise needed to obtain and use these energy sources already in place, making them an attractive option for many countries and businesses. Renewable energy sources, on the other hand, require significant investment and development of infrastructure and expertise which can be time-consuming and expensive.

Finally, fossil fuels can be used in combination with renewable energy sources to create a more stable and flexible energy system. When the weather conditions are not conducive to generating renewable energy, energy from fossil fuels can be used to bridge the gap, ensuring a steady supply of energy, thus preventing power outages and other energy-related issues.

Although it is widely acknowledged that fossil fuels are associated with some environmental degradation and health hazards, they nonetheless provide a much-needed source of energy for various sectors, including transportation, industry and households. Fossil fuels have played a significant role in powering economies and fueling growth and development worldwide, and their continued use, albeit with more focus on cleaner and more efficient technologies, will likely remain important for the foreseeable future.

The United States is in position to help the free world if it decides to drop its current energy policy, handcuffing itself to an energy deficit. The growing world recession can be greatly reduced if the US opens up its 150+ trillion dollars worth of fossil fuel resources.
