A group of kids were robbed of their sneakers while they were in a bathroom at a popular shopping center in southern California.
Surveillance video from the incident at the Irvine Spectrum shopping center on June 26 was released by police and showed two suspects follow the group of four juveniles into the bathroom.
The two accosted the juveniles and stole their sneakers and a baseball hat, although one of the victims was able to get away without being robbed.
Police were able to arrest one of the suspects, a 14-year-old boy, but they are still searching for the other suspect who was armed with a gun in the incident.
They are asking for help from the public to identify and arrest the second suspect. The suspect is described by Irvine Police as a Hispanic male between the ages of 15 and 20 years, with a height of about 5’8″ and weighing about 150 lbs. He wore a black baseball cap with a red emblem, a black fanny pack, a gray tank top with black pants and white shoes.
None of the juvenile victims were physically hurt.
A similar incident unfolded in June at a basketball court in Pennsylvania when a group of teenagers savagely beat down a 15-year-old in order to steal his shoes, called Yeezy slides. Onlookers took out their phones and recorded the beat down instead of aiding the young man.
