The White House Confirms Biden Uses CPAP Sleep Apnea Machine After Strap Marks Are Seen On His Face

The White House has now stated that President Joe Biden uses a CPAP machine for sleep apnea after strap marks appeared on his face from the device. 

Andrew Bates, White House spokeman, said in a statement to Bloomberg, “Since 2008, the President has disclosed his history with sleep apnea in thorough medical reports. He used a CPAP machine last night, which is common for people with that history.”

Indications of the device were seen on his face Wednesday morning and a report from 2008 showed that he has had trouble with sleep apnea in the past.

In a 2021 White House press release about Biden’s health, the White House said that his “lung examination, oxygen saturation and chest imaging [were] entirely normal.”

In the same 2021 press release, it is noted that Biden, at the time, was experiencing and increase in “frequency and severity of ‘throat clearing’ and coughing during speaking engagements.” 

Among other report connected to Biden’s health include noticeable gaffs that he has had. One example happened recently where Biden, in a press conference, mentioned a goal related to climate change that would be reached by the year 2020, three years previous

Biden’s health has been on the mind of many Americans, a poll done by NBC included a survey about his health versus former President Donald Trump’s.

The poll found that 68 percent of voters are “concerned that Biden doesn’t have the necessary mental and physical health to be president.” This is opposed to the 55 percent who have worries over the health of Trump.
